Electronic commerce begins the new year with high expectations. The estimated total volume of e-Commerce in Spain increased by 18% in 2013 over the previous year, representing a turnover of 14.6 billion euros, according to data obtained from the Annual Survey on Electronic Commerce B2C 2013 (edition 2014) issued by ONTSI (National Observatory on telecommunications and IS) of the Ministry of Industry.

Given these data, Trusted Shops, online stores certification company, said that this year the volume of e-commerce will continue to grow strongly. The report notes that the number of online shoppers continues to grow, from 15.2 million to 17.2 million, representing an increase of 14% in absolute values. Also, the average spending per online user has taken the path of growth, reaching 848 euros, 3.9% more than in the previous year.

In order to detect which are the keys for the e-commerce market in 2015, Jordi Vives, Head of Trusted Shops in Spain, shares the main trends for this year:

1.Onmichannel e-Commerce: buying online is a practice that is increasingly more widespread among consumers, yet the physical stores are still important. It is for this reason that traders have seen their presence in both channels as the perfect opportunity to reach more customers.

2.m-Commerce introduction: the use of smartphones for online purchasing and consulting products is growing at an unstoppable pace, so it is necessary that websites have a space adapted to these devices.

3.Internacionalization of sales: developing cross-border sales is already a reality and it is certainly something that will further develop along this year. Given this boom, new measures are being implemented to solve one of the points that causesbigger headaches for entrepreneurs: VAT taxation on such sales. To prevent traders to have to register in each consumer state, from January 1 this year, all those online stores that sell online services are eligible for the optional regime Mini Single Window "Mini One-Stop Shop" (MOSS). As a result, business owners (providers of online services) may submit all VAT returns from their state of identification.

4.Online customer loyalty: loyalty in eCommerce will play an important role in 2015. To make this possible, customization, both of communication to address users and product introduction, will be essential to maximize satisfaction and, therefore, profits.
