We enter the final stretch of preparations for the Licensing Forum, that will take place on July 2 at the Barcelona World Trade Center. The event will offer industry professionals many opportunities, as they will be able to access in a single day to a comprehensive overview of the sector, and to contact with professionals from dozens of companies.

These are some of the key points that make the Licensing Forum an event that industry professionals should attend.

1. Brands that will boost your sales. The 13 exhibitors will offer many of the major properties. There will be opportunities in:

- TV series for children and adults, such as Dinosaur Train, Doraemon, Inazuma Eleven Go!, Mia and Me, Peppa Pig and The Simpsons, among many others.
- Classics, as Betty Boop, Mafalda and the Smurfs.
- Brands in all areas and for all ages, with Chupa Chups, Hello Kitty, Once Upon a Zombie and Repsol, to name a few.
- Licenses from the digital world, such as Pou and Sylanders.
- Movies, including the second instalment of How to Train Your Dragon, Despicable Me (including the Minions), and the titles of Dreamworks Animation (Shrek and Kung Fu Panda, for example).
- TV shows, like Masterchef.
- Art and desing brands, such as Kimmidoll.
- Properties from the toy industry, such as Barbie, Furby, My Little Pony, Monster High, Nancy and Transformers.

2. The latest trends. The Licensing Forum will take place just after Licensing Expo, so many of these 13 exhibitors are coming from Las Vegas with agreements for new brands and new licensing programmes. Forum attendees will know about these new developments first hand and before their competitors.

3. Knowledge. The Forum organizes two conferences: the first will focus on marketing addressed at children. Víctor Gutiérrez de Tena, Head of Strategic Planning and Innovation at Havas Media, will outline how the relationship of youngsters with brands has changed, as well as what strategies must be carried out.

NPD will be in charge of the second conference, giving data, analysis and market perspectives on the licensed toys business.

4. Opportunities for internationalization. The Forum will be attended by the Mexican licensing association Promarca, by Hong Kong International Licensing Show, and by LIMA Iberia, offering the possibility to contact professionals from around the world.

5. A space for networking. The Forum provides an ideal place to exchange views and information, which can turn into business opportunities. Ideas for new projects can come from the careful exposition by an exhibitor of the possibilities of a license, after listening to new information at one of the conferences, and also thanks to a casual conversation with a potential partner (or even a competitor).

6. Support for visitors and exhibitors. We further increased the support and information we provide to attendees. Visitors (licensees and retailers) can attend for only 55 euros plus VAT, including breakfast, lunch, and the possibility to access the best brands and industry professionals. Exhibitors will not only have their booth, but also an extensive communication program in both print and online editions of Licencias Actualidad.
