Licensing Awards have already winners

PAW Patrol has been awarded as the Best Property and Nickelodeon as the Best Owner

The awards granted by the Licencias Actualidad celebrate their 13th edition acknowledging the work of the properties and most prominent companies in 2015 in licensing business, according to the feedback of the professionals involved in this sector in the Spanish market.

PAW Patrol was the most prominent licensing of the business in different product categories. Thus, it has been recognized with two awards for Best License of the Year and Best Entertainment Property. In addition, Nickelodeon, which manages its licensing rights, won the award for Best Owner 2015 for work done with this child property.

The awards for Best Property and Best Licensee in the segment of sports licensing are from in F.C. Barcelona and Panini again, like last year. The football team totals six wins in thirteen editions of the awards.
The Best Licensed Promotion prize is for Cola Cao with Batiminions. The company has worked a new version of the promotion of their famous blender.

Among these brands, three new properties sneak on the podium for the first time this year. Santoro Gorjuss has been recognized with the Best Art-Design Property award, while Minecraft wins the Best Digital Property and Masterchef was considered the Best Licensing Brand.

As licensees, IMC Toys has won the Award for Best Digital Licensee; Artesanía Cerdá repeated as the Best Entertainment Licensee; Hasbro has been the Best Licensed Brand Licensee and the fashion brand Oysho has been the best in the category of Art-Design.


Voting


The nomination and voting process is divided into two phases: an initial consultation in which the valuation of licensing professionals on who should be nominated is collected; a second shipment to submit a list of candidates for each of the categories from the first proposals. In this vote involving more than one hundred representatives of all activities related to the business of licensing: licensees, agents, owners, media, consultants, retailers and distributors.
