Pixmania plans to open two new stores in Spain in 2012, one in Madrid and another in Barcelona. This shops will be inaugurated before the summer and will join the five currently open (two in Barcelona, two in Madrid, and one Valencia).

So far, Pixmania stores were facilities where customers could pick up online ordered items. The company is changing the model to turn them into traditional stores, with one particularity: product prices are electronic tags that change in real time, following online price changes.

The company was founded in 2002 and is present online in 26 European countries. Although born as an electronics store, it also offers childcare products, as well as toys. The company also has a total of 18 physical outlets.

Pixmania recorded a revenue of €897 million in its last fiscal year. It has 1,400 employees and 10 million registered customers across Europe, 20% of them in Spain.
