HBO opens in Spain

Series, films, documentaries and children's productions are available to the Spanish audience under a subscription of 7.99 euros per month

19/12/2016

The US company HBO is now available in Spain. From last Monday, the factory has launched its streaming service for the Spanish market where series, films, documentaries and children's productions are available to the Spanish audience under a subscription of 7.99 euros per month, currently being the first month gratuitous. Thus, through desktop computers, tablets and other mobile devices, HBO Spain offers both its own series (such as Silicon Valley), as well as titles from other producers such as Legends of Tomorrow; encompassing a catalog of more than a hundred series.

The objective of the US factory is to be able to launch in Spain simultaneously with its launch in the United States. In this sense, the Spanish service has ensured hosting a large selection of films that will go beyond the Hollywood industry, focusing also on works with independent signature. Thus, among the agreements with third parties of HBO, those signed with Disney and Nickelodeon have special relevance in order to host children's contents suitable for the whole family.

Being the property of the Home Box Office brand, currently a Time Warner subsidiary, HBO Spain is part of the HBO Europe division, present in 19 countries. However, the total service reaches 60 countries, and the content of the brand can be found in more than 150 nations.
