The third edition of the largest European trade fair for interactive games and entertainment will be held in Cologne between the 17th and 21st of August, with days 18, 19 and 20 open to the general public. Gamescom 2011 expects to register better assistance than last year, as international companies such Electronic Arts, DeepSilver, Konami, Namco Bandai, Nintendo, Ubisoft and Warner Brothers, among others, have already confirmed their presence. Last year numbers already surpassed 2009, with 254,000 visitors, 19,900 of them accredited trade visitors. The fair gathered 505 exhibitors of 33 countries and 4,400 journalists from 49 countries.
