Character Group returns to profits
The company will close the year in line with its forecasts
10/09/2013
Character Group has announced that it has returned to positive results. Although the company has not published figures, the toy maker has confirmed that it has left behind its losses and will close the second half of the year in the black.
The company says that in 2013 it will record results in line with expectations, after a tough 2012 because of the disappointing results of the London Olympic Games licensed products, which led to an operating loss in the fist half of its fiscal year of 1,63 million pounds. The toy company expects further growth in 2014.
This improvement has been driven by international sales of its licensed toys, with characters such as Peppa Pig, Scooby Doo and Doctor Who, among others.
