The world economy is showing signs of improvement, according to results of the World Economic Survey of the Ifo Institute. This survey shows an improvement in economic expectations: the confidence indicator rose from 82.4 to 95 points for the current quarter, while the six-months economic outlook increased 21.1 points, up to 101.8.
Economists polled by Ifo rely on an improvement of the European economy by 0.4% in 2012. For America and Asia, expectations are better and reach 2.4% and 4% respectively.
Analysts also believe that the euro and the yen are somewhat over-valued and expect the dollar exchange to rise over the next six months. Increases in interest rates are also expected.
