UK online discount retailer Flubit.com says the online Christmas shopping season is showing strength, with gifts and accessories rising to 20% of all demands the first week of November- triple the rate of early October.

Sales of toys, books and consumer electronics have risen sharply, with classic brands such as Lego proving to be particularly popular.

The new company has sold over £1.3 million in one-time offers to its customers in just its first six weeks of operation, and CEO Bertie Stephens says he's expecting big days ahead as Christmas gift shopping booms over the coming few weeks. The retailer estimates that shoppers have saved over £100,000 on the products they've bought through this platform.
