Chupa Chups to be represented by IMG

The company will manage the brand's rights during the next three years

IMG Worldwide has been appointed exclusive licensing agent for Chupa Chups, the lollipop brand in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Benelux and Scandinavian countries, as well as in Australia and New Zealand.

“We feel that IMG is the right partner to continue the expansion of our licensing program in these markets. They have a perfect understanding of our brand values and heritage and the know-how to apply iconic brands to products that consumers want to own.” says Christine Cool, Senior Brand Manager of Chupa Chups’ Licensing Division.

IMG is planning to roll out a programme over the course of a three-year deal in which they will secure and manage licensees across a range of lifestyle categories targeted primarily at teenagers.

“Our international team is really excited about extending the Chupa Chups brand which is synonymous with a fun, dynamic and colourful lifestyle. The brand has a powerful ‘palette’ of graphic assets that grows each year through new style guides, offering licensees an array of contemporary, retro and seasonal opportunities. Chupa Chups is without doubt a true original, deftly characterised by Dali’s iconic ‘daisy’ logo,” enthused Bruno Maglione, IMG EVP and Global Managing Director of IMG Worldwide Licensing.
