The family-owned business from Kontich, Antwerp, Childhome, is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Childhome has clients in over 45 countries worldwide. The design, distribution and marketing activities all take place in the offices in Kontich. It has two brands Childwood and Childwheels.

Childwood, specialized in furniture, was the first brand to come to life. The demand for more products augmented and  made way for the introduction of a second brand: Childwheels, dedicated to strollers, travelling beds and bouncers, among other products.

Childhome started in April 1985 when Stefan Aerts took his first steps in the world of baby and children products with a bucket load of ambition. As a representative for a couple of German children brands, Stefan worked from his bedroom in his parents’ house while using the garage as a mini warehouse. His wife Nathalie joined the business soon after the birth of their son Nicolas.
