09/01/2014

Munchkin, infant and toddler products manufacturer, has acquired Brica, a brand of auto, home and travel products for babies and parents. The acquisition adds Brica's travel portfolio, including market-leading auto sunshades and mirrors, to a Munchkin product portfolio that includes infant categories such as bath, care, safety, travel and feeding. These products will be sold under the Brica by Munchkin brand.

“Combining the Munchkin and Brica travel portfolios creates a category-leading statement, enabling us the opportunity to work with our key customers to fuel overall category and market share growth,” said Steven B. Dunn, CEO, Munchkin.

“Joining Munchkin allows Brica the scale and resources to accelerate its growth, while increasing its development of new and innovative products," added Bryan Miller, CEO, Brica.

Brica is a privately held company based in North Carolina with a 20-year heritage in developing solutions for parents. Brica's current portfolio includes more than 50 unique items such as Baby In-Sight Mirrors, Stretch-to-Fit Sunshades, and Snack Pod with Quick Attach. Brica has recently also expanded into new categories including stroller accessories, in-home accessories, bath products and nursery accessories. The company counts with distribution in all major U.S. brick and mortar and e-commerce retailers.
