The Licensing Forum: a promising day

We are finalizing the details of the 7th Licensing Forum, to be held on September 12 at Ifema (Madrid). Our goal is to provide licensing professionals who come to this day a perfect setting to make new contacts, meet new properties, and learn even more about how the market.
The event will feature two distinct and complementary areas. On one hand, the exhibitors zone, where 13 companies will present their brands and projects. Ten of them with their own booth:
- Biplano Licensing, licensing agency that with properties such as Hello Kitty and Betty Boop in its portfolio.
- Copyright Promotions Licensing Group Barcelona, the multinational licensing agency with properties like Skylanders and The Simpsons.
- El Ocho, Licencias y Promociones, responsible for managing the licensing programmes of brands such as Kimmidoll and Peppa Pig.
- Fremantle Media is an international group of audiovisual content, holding rights for properties such as Monsuno, Rebecca Bonbon, and Tree Fu Tom.
- Hong Kong Licensing Show, HKTDC, that will present the opportunities offered by this fair to be held in Hong Kong from 6 to 8 January.
- LIMA Iberia is the official representative in Spain and Portugal of the International Licensing Industry Merchandisers' Association.
- Luk Internacional, media rights distributor whose star properties are Doraemon and Robin Zingone.
- Mattel Brands, the licensing division of the world's best-selling toy maker, presenting brands like Monster High, Max Steel, Barbie and Hot Wheels, among others.
- Planeta Junior, a company specializing in audiovisual content that will bring to Madrid properties such as Maya the Bee, Sesame Street and Redakai.
- Selecta Vision has over 25 years experience in the audiovisual sector, managing rights of shows such as Dinosaur Train and Miss XV.
Also, the event will feature three other companies that will participate in the new Meeting Space:
- Arait Multimedia, multimedia content distributor specializing in Japanese animation with Inazuma Eleven as its star property.
- Imira Entertainment, Spanish company specialized in the production and distribution of audiovisual content for children and youth, with properties such as Lucky Fred in its portfolio.
- Mendía Licensing, licensing and promotional agency managing classic brands such as Pepsi and Asterix and Obelix, among others.
The second space is the conference room, where exhibitors will introduce their brands in half-hour sessions and where we will organize the roundtable, focusing on the growing power of retail and aiming to analyse the weight and influence of the retailers in the licensing business, as well as their relationship with other business actors.
This roundtable will count with:

- Jose María Cendra, General Director, Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products.
- Pau Pascual, Director, Copyright Promotions Europe Group Iberia.
- Lluís Torrent, General Director, Panini Iberia.
