Netflix lands in Spain
The Internet TV services company will offer original series and movies on payment of a monthly fee

The US Internet TV company, Netflix, as previously announced, will land in Spain in October 2015. The company has said it will offer services between the original series and movies on payment of a monthly fee. Available for smart TVs, tablets, mobile phones, computers and game consoles; the company has advanced plans for the future, including a serie of the drug cartel of Pablo Escobar and a comedy about the troubles of a family after the death of the owner of a football club.
So far, the arrival in Spain of the company had been slowed by the high rates of illegal downloads along with the high prices of copyright in the country. However, according to the Annual Report of the European Audiovisual Observatory corresponding 2013, it has increased consumption of audiovisual online content legally. In fact, the study compares data from 2009, in which the Spaniards spent 800,000 euros for this service, with the latest in 2013, when profits were up 78.5%, from 12.4 million to 22, 2 over the previous year.
