New York Toy Fair awards to Zoomer Dino and Crayola's Paint Maker among others | Key4Communications | News

The main New York Toy Fair awards were  given to Zoomer Dino and Crayola's Paint Maker. Zoomer dino is the Spin Master’s innovative “pet” dinosaur that kids can train to sit, speak and react to commands, took home the overall “Toy of the Year” award prize and was named “Boy Toy of the Year.”  Crayola’s Paint Maker, a customizable arts & crafts kit, snagged the admirable “People’s Choice” award for gaining the most online votes from consumers and was also named “Activity Toy of the Year.”

TOTY Award winners were selected among 580 products and properties with the input of consumers (on ToyAwards.org), retailers (mass and specialty), media and members of the toy industry.

The winners:

Activity Toy of the Year: Crayola Paint Maker (Crayola).

Boy Toy of the Year: Zoomer Dino (Spin Master).

e-Connected Toy of the Year: Lego Fusion (Lego Systems).

Educational Toy of the Year: Lego Technic (Lego Systems).

Game of the Year: Simon Swipe (Hasbro, Inc.).

Girl Toy of the Year: Shopkins Small Mart Playset (Moose Toys).

Infant/Toddler Toy of the Year: Go! Go! Smart Animals Zoo Explorers Playset (VTech).

Innovative Toy of the Year: MiP (WowWee).

Outdoor Toy of the Year: Nerf Rebelle Dolphina Bow (Hasbro).

Preschool Toy of the Year: Lego Juniors (Lego Systems).

Property of the Year: Disney’s Frozen (The Walt Disney Company).

Specialty Toy of the Year: Gravity Maze (ThinkFun).
