Sandbox Summit is an annual two-day idea forum at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), focused on the intersection of play, learning and technology. What sets Sandbox Summit apart from other conferences is its diverse audience, an eclectic mix of media developers and marketers, toy and game makers, educators, researchers, journalists, policy experts, inventors and students. Their common goal is to create new, better, and smarter products for 21st century kids.
The theme of the 2015 event is: WHAT IF… Imagining a more playful society. The program includes two days of presentations, hands-on workshops, a welcome party, and a product showcase/cocktail reception. Games guru Bernie De Koven and actor and president of The Creative Coalition Tim Daly will deliver keynotes. Presenters and demonstrators from all aspects of the media, edtech and toy industries will examine the ways we play with, learn from, and perceive today’s kids’ products and media. Sandbox Summit is now part of PlayCollective, a global strategy and insight company.
