The affluence to shopping malls is on decline
The year to year evolution continues to show positive tendency according to Footfall

According to the retail analytics company Footfall, the monthly affluence to Spanish shopping malls has decreased 2,8% during June, even though the year to year variation shows a 0,1% increasing. With June’s register, 2016’ first semester closes itself having presented monthly evolution with positive tendency in the months of January (4,8%), April (3,2%) and may (1,1%), and negative evolution in the months of February (-24,4%), March (-0,7%) and June (-2,8%).
Regarding to the year to year variation, the first six months of 2016 show positive figures: January (3,1%), February (0,0%), March (1,9%), April (0,3%), May (3,1%) and June (0,1%). This way, the accumulated affluence index of Spanish shopping malls during 2015 shows an increasing of 1,5% compared to 2015. In the other side, the affluence index of that surfaces in Portugal is completely straight (0,0%) during 2016, after having registered decreasing in June in terms of year to year variation (-1,7%), and monthly (-3,1%).
