The Licensing Forum offers international opportunities
The event associates with Expo Licencias y Marcas (Mexico), Hong Kong International Licensing Show and LIMA

The next Licensing Forum will offer information and opportunities to work on licensing projects in markets around the world. Attendees and specially licensees will be able to know more about the international proposals offered by three new exhibitors at the event, to be held on July 2 at the Barcelona World Trade Center:
- The Mexican licensing association Promarca has been promoting for more than five years the licensing industry in Mexico, with partners such as Tycoon, Televisa, Azteca TV, Fulanitos, and Warner Bros., among others. The association organizes the Licensing & Merchandising Expo in Mexico City, an event that brings together more than 35 exhibitors and 2,500 visitors. The next edition will be held on 20 and 21 October.
- Hong Kong International Licensing Show, the fair organized by HKTDC, will present the opportunities offered by the event, to be held in Hong Kong from 12 to 14 January 2015, as well as by the Hong Kong market itself, as it is the gateway to Asia. The fair is held in parallel with the trade shows of toys, babycare products and stationery also organized by HKTDC and gathering a total of 2,900 exhibitors and over 100,000 attendees.
- LIMA Iberia is the official representative in Spain and Portugal of the International Licensing Industry Merchandisers' Association. It has over 1,000 associates around the world and organizes networking meetings, conferences at trade fairs, webinars, and through Limanet it offers an extensive online database of professionals, companies and brands.
Emili Alsina, director of the trade magazine Licencias Actualidad, organizer of the event organizer, says: "This complementary approach is an opportunity for those attending the Forum who are considering the possibility of exporting to other markets. These new three exhibitors present opportunities in Latin America, Asia and the rest of the world, and are a new addition to our focus on Iberia and southern Europe, which has always been a priority for us."
The most relevant brands
The Forum will also to meet some of the most important companies in the licensing industry, bringing dozens of brands with a strong presence in all kinds of consumer products.
- Biplano Licensing, founded in 1990 and with offices in Spain, Portugal and France, represents properties such as Betty Boop, Hello Kitty, and Smurfs, among others.
- Consumer Product Connection, young agency in charge of the licensing program of properties such as Pou, Lucky Fred and Kumis.
- Copyright Promotions Licensing Group: the Iberian subsidiary of the multinational agency will bring to the Forum properties such as Despicable Me, Skylanders and The Simpsons.
- El Ocho Licencias y Promociones heads the licensing program of Peppa Pig, awarded as property of the year in the Licencias Actualidad Awards. The company itself received the award for the best agency of the year. El Ocho will also bring Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom.
- Luk Internacional, audiovisual rights distributor in charge of properties such as Doraemon, B-Daman, and Once Upon a Zombie.
- Mattel Brands is the licensing division of the largest toy company by revenue, and is in charge of the licensing programs of the firm's brands, including Ever After High, Monster High, Barbie, and Max Steel, among others.
- Planeta Junior is a company specializing in audiovisual content that manages children's entertainment properties, such as Maya the Bee, Mia and Me, and Sesame Street, along with the properties of DreamWorks.
