The Toy of the Year Awards in the New York Toy Fair | Key4Communications | News

Hundreds of global toy executives gathered in New York City last 12th February to pay tribute to the Toy Industry best and brightest games in the 16th edition of the Annual ‘Toy of the Year Awards’ and the ‘Toy Industry Hall of Fame’. The ‘Oscars’ of the toy sector took place in the American Museum of Natural History and served as the kick of the 113 edition of the ‘North American International Toy Fair’.

The ‘Toy of the Year’ award and the ‘Preschool Toy of the Year’ award were for the toy ‘Doc McSuffins Pet Vet Checkup Center’, a toy which can help children learn to take care of their pets and their friends pets too. In the other hand, the ‘People Choice Award’ was for the toy ‘KidKraft LLC’s Uptown Espresso Kitchen’. The winners was chosen by the consumers thanks to their collaboration (in ToyAwards.org), the retailers, and the media and professionals of the toy industry.

“From toys that can inspire kid’s careers choices, to ones that their boost creativity and confidence, the 2016 TOTY winners have provided children with countless hours of fun, challenges and learning – benefits that last a lifetime,” said Steve Pasierb, TIA President & CEO (association which organized the trade fair).
