Toy industry sales increased in United States

Sales grew 7% during the first half of the year


The United States toy industry increased 7,5% during the first half of 2016 compared to sales registered in the same period of the previous year. Those results are deduced from the last study from NPD, in which they explain that the toy industry may increase 7% -or 1,4 billion dollar-, for the whole year.

In that sense, the vice-president of NPD for the toy sector Juli Lennett, assured that “I expect to see continued growth for the U.S. toy industry for the remainder of 2016 and, if it reaches 7 percent for year-end, that would be the fastest growth of the U.S. toy market since 1999”. Regarding to important products, Star Wars was one of the main motors at promoting this increasing of the first semester, with an increasing of 200% in toy sales of this property during June.
