27% of all online Christmas sales will be made from mobile devices
The Spaniards will spend 930 million euros on their mobile purchases

According to data from the RetailMeNot.es International Christmas Study, in collaboration with the Center for Retail Research, Spaniards will spend 930 million euros on their mobile purchases. A figure that represents an increase of 116%, more than double the last Christmas, representing the highest growth in Europe (where sales will increase by an average of 57.5%).
Growing mCommerce
More specifically, through the mobile phone, the Spanish consumer will spend 560 million euros: a 124% increase over last Christmas. Thus, eCommerce will invoice 370 million euros thanks to purchases made with the tablet. In fact, 37% of the online expenses of these holidays will be made through mobile devices.
Computer shopping, in positive
Despite the fact that purchases through mobile devices are booming, computer sales, according to the study, are also very positive in the Spanish market, also experiencing a growth of 16.5%. In this way, Spain becomes the largest country of those analyzed by the study that has grown in this segment; (-5.8%), England (-4.8%) or France (-4.1%).
Sales in physical stores, downhill
Likewise, in terms of spending expected for this Christmas, traditional stores will generate revenues of up to 22,830 million euros, a figure that represents a decrease of -0.9% compared to the same period of the previous year.
However, in what represents eCommerce, the tendency points to a turnover of 3,500 million euros during the holidays of this year, which supposes a growth of 33%.
