UK, USA and France, the countries to spend more on Christmas

The average global spending this Christmas’ holiday season will be 213 euros, according to the global study "Consumer Trends in Christmas", prepared by the firm TNS for eBay. By country, the United Kingdom (282 €), United States (272 €) and France (234 €) are the countries that spend the most on the holidays, while in South Korea (137 €), Russia (158 €) and Italy (194 €) the spending will be less.
Based on the responses from more than 10,300 people, each person will on average buy 9 gifts to 7 different people. Britain and the United States topped the list of countries that make the highest number of gifts. The British will buy 16 gifts to 9 people, whereas Americans will buy 13 gifts to 8 people.
By contrast, consumers in South Korea, Spain and Germany are the ones that will but the lowest number of gifts this Christmas.
