Disney buys Maker, a producer of videos for Youtube | Key4Communications |

Disney has purchased the online video producer Maker, which is one of the largest companies that share content via Youtube, for $500 million. Also, if the company meets certain goals, the final amount could reach $950 million. Disney expects to attract teenagers thanks to these contents.

Founded in 2009, Maker Studios produces and distributes videos for more than 380 million subscribers through 55,000 channels in Google's social network, including Epic Rap Battles of History and PewDiePie. These channels total about 5.5 billion views each month.
