Registration is now open for Licensing Expo 2014, the tradeshow dedicated to brand, character, entertainment, fashion and art licensing. Set for June 17-19 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, the event connects more than 15,000 licensees, consumer goods manufacturers and retailers with the industry's most powerful and recognizable intellectual properties. Representatives from all product categories will be in attendance including toys and games, apparel and accessories, gaming and consumer electronics, home and housewares, health and beauty, food and beverage and gifts and novelties.
"Licensing Expo is where industry professionals come to spot the 'next big thing,'" says Jessica Blue, vice president, Licensing Expo. "It is the industry's leading event to facilitate the business of licensing and to bring licensors, licensees and retailers together to network and make brand extension deals."
Organized by Advanstar Licensing, the 2013 Licensing Expo saw attendance increase 10%, with one in three attendees originating from outside of the US. Of these attendees, there was a 30% increase in visitors with decision-making power.
Licensing Expo 2014 will once again be merchandized into five show zones to better allow attendees to connect with the exhibitors they want to meet: Characters & Entertainment, Brands & Agents, Art & Design, Fashion & Lifestyle and Sourcing & Production. Over 5,000 brands will be showcased on 420 booths within these zones.
Many renowned names are returning to exhibit at the 2014 show including Dreamworks Animation, Nickelodeon, Sony Pictures Consumer Products, Mattel, Coca-Cola, Condé Nast, Hasbro Consumer Products, IMG Worldwide, Sanrio, and Rovio Entertainment, along with new exhibitors such as RACE Motorsports Marketing, High Times Magazine, Polaris Industries, and the new Japan Pavilion, featuring brand owners from Japan.
