European family entertainment firm Planeta Junior has welcomed a new country manager for Spain and Portugal. Former Hasbro executive Luis Ortega has stepped into the role with the objetive of developing the business and Planeta Junior’s strategy in the Spanish and Portuguese markets.

Bordes previously held the position of licensing manager for the Iberian region at Hasbro, where he was responsible for developing the licensing business in Spain and Portugal in the merchandising, publishing and promotions sector.

Prior to this, he was director of licenses and procurement at Valencia FC and worked for companies dedicated to marketing, events management and sports rights such as Valmor Sports and VOS Sportsmarketing.

In his new role, Bordes will report to Diego Ibanez Belaustegui, international sales director. It will be his job to identify global strategies for expanding the company’s business in order to provide it with new opportunities.
