Parques Reunidos and Viacom will install Nickelodeon theme parks in shopping centers in Europe
Metrovacesa will bring the first of these leisure spaces in Murcia next year

Parques Reunidos Group has signed an agreement with Viacom International Media Network (VIMN), a division of Viacom, to develop theme parks with Nickelodeon characters like SpongeBob or Dora the Exploradora in shopping centers, an initiative that will have its first opening next year in Murcia.
With this agreement the existing alliance between Parques Reunidos and VIMN is extended, after the success of Nickelodeon Land in Madrid's Theme Park and NickLand in Movie Park Germany, and represents the first foray of Parques Reunidos and Nickelodeon in business the 'Mall Entertainment Centres' (MEC), as noted in a joint note. At present there are already advanced negotiations in several European countries, including the UK, France, Italy and Portugal, and Spain, to bring this new concept of leisure parks in shopping malls.
The first leisure space fruit of this strategic agreement will arrive in Murcia on 2017 with Metrovacesa, one of the major players in the field of shopping centers in Spain. It will have an approximate area of 5,000 square meters and will be equipped with interactive attractions, adventures area, an area dedicated to the smallest area, driving school and Nickelodeon themed rooms. In addition, the center will have a food court and a shop product Nickelodeon.
"We are delighted to bring this new entertainment experience in business and do it the hand of Metrovacesa, Nickelodeo and its characters centers", said the CEO of Parques Reunidos, Fernando Eiroa, convinced he can repeat the success achieved in the Madrid's Theme Park and the NickLand in Movie Park Germany. This is the first step to launch new projects in other European countries within the strategic growth plan of Parques Reunidos.
