Entertainment One (eOne) today announces the appointment of Planeta Junior as licensing agent for the film The BFG in Spain, ahead of Steven Spielberg’s big screen adaption of Roald Dahl’s classic children’s book which will premiere in cinemas in Spain on 8th July 2016.  

eOne has pan-European licensing rights to The BFG and will be working in close collaboration with Planeta Junior to strengthen the consumer products programme in Spain. The agent will leverage its local expertise to increase retail exposure and distribution in Spain for eOne’s robust line-up of UK and European licensees. Planeta Junior will also be supporting global merchandise deals with Funko, That Company Called If (gifting) and WETA (high end collectibles). Underground Toys will distribute Funko’s vinyl collectible figure of The BFG, in Europe. In addition to expanding distribution for these deals in Spain, Planeta Junior will also be seeking new licensees for the Spanish market in the toy, homeware, gifting, stationery and apparel categories.
