'Zootropolis' leads the cinema

The Disney movie has already collected 2,76 million euros

With the film ‘Zootropolis’, premiered  on  February 12th, Disney has got the figure of 2,7 million € from 622 halls, in 359 cinemas. Compared to recent and similar premieres, the collected figures are positive. ‘Zootropolis’ is situated in the same line as big movies such as ‘Hotel Transilvania’, which won 2,89 million  €, and ‘Inside Out’, with 2,9 million €. Some recent 2015-2016 premieres are ‘Capture the flag’, with 1,4 million; the ‘Sponge Bob’ adaptation, 1,77 million €; ‘Alvin and the Squirrels 4’, 1,18 million €, and ‘Charlie Brown and Snoopy’, 1 million €.

Looking at the past, relevant premieres from Disney, Dreamworks, Fox or Universal has reached the line of 2,5-2,8 million €, being the space of 1,7-1,8 million for other titles that arrived in the term of pre-Easter (‘Lorax’ or ‘How to train your Dragon’). In terms of maintenance, ‘Zootropolis’ is not enjoying any vacation time, but it has a good time space with no competitors, until march 11th, when ‘Kung Fu Panda 3’ arrives.
