The Spielwarenmesse Toy Fair will be held from 29 January to 3 February in Nuremberg. This is the toy trade show with more visitors and exhibitors, and is a must for anyone who wants to know what we will see in stores in the coming months. The new event for this year is the TrendGallery, but there are more reasons why it's worth to go:

1. It is the most important fair of the industry. No other reaches its numbers - about 72,000 visitors will attend in order to have a look at the new products of over 2,700 exhibitors from 60 countries. Nearly 40% of attendees explain that this is the only show they visit. This year’s fair will have an exhibit area of 170,000 square meters, the largest in its history.

2. It is the place to spot new trends. Not only because it has more exhibitors than any other event, but also for its TrendGallery, a new area dedicated to identify the main trends in the toy industry and to present items featuring innovative companies in the industry.

3. It is a center of information and knowledge. The Toy Business Forum will take place in the TrendGallery, offering lectures on emerging trends and market developments. In addition, Global Toy Conference will offer on 1 February a series of lectures aimed at retailers and on issues such as pricing strategy and shopping experience, among others.

4. The fair will also exhibit babycare products . In addition to early childhood toys, the event will present the newest items of companies specializing in prams and strollers, car seats and furniture, among other products for babies and their families.

5. Licensing has its own space. The licensing industry is an essential part of the toy business: 30% of toys are manufactured under a license. Thus, it is no wonder that the fair organizes the License Center, a meeting point for licensees, agents, licensors and all professionals involved in the sector.
